Dance for Christ 2019 featured guests

Our featured guests for 2019 are Peterson and Starkesha Thelisma and Jon Jorgenson.

Peterson and Starkesha Thelisma will be featured in all eight shows of Dance for Christ 2019 and Jon Jorgenson will be joining us for Friday April 12th and our Saturday matinee on April 13th.

Peterson Thelisma, Choreographer, Artistic Director and Saxophonist is a native of Port-Au-Prince, Haiti.  At the age of 8, Peterson move to Miami where his music and dance life began.  He earned a scholarship to Florida A&M University.  While there, he joined the FAMU Strikers.  The group took part in America's Best Dance Crew Season 3 and became the The Striker All Stars stepping crew.  Peterson appears in music videos and commercials as stepping dancer.  Currently, he can be seen in Justin Timberlake's music video, "Love Never Felt So Good."  He owns MUV Entertainment with his wife Starkesha.  Peterson firmly believes that everything happens for a reason, and God has much more planned for him.

Starkesha Thelisma, a former NBA Pistons Automotion Dancer, was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, where she attended Wayne State University.  She is also a three-year veteran of the San Diego Charger Girls.  Starkesha appeared on VH1's television series, Hit the Floor.  She has been in numerous television commercials, movies, music videos and infomercials with the help of MTA.  She has danced for the Black Eyed Peas, Michelle Williams and Mariah Carey.  She own MUV Entertainment with her husband Peterson.  The self-motivated and passionate Starkesha is determined to be the very best that she can be using the whole mind, body and soul.  With the help of God, she is taking life to the next level.

Jon Jorgenson is an author, speaker, and spoken word poet whose YouTube videos have been viewed by more than 20 million people.  Jon partners with numerous organizations including Awana International, Moody Bible Institute, the Willow Creek Association, and hundreds of other churches, colleges, and conferences all over the globe.  His spoken word poetry provides a dynamic and creative experience that captures the imagination of audiences everywhere.  As a former Broadway Actor, Chicago native, and very lucky husband, Jon hopes to provide a fresh, unique voice to some of life's most difficult and challenging questions.
